That´s a neat site . Ok , here goes . First off I didn´t say that the Ruta de Plata went through Nuevo Leon and as the wonderful site that you looked up shows , it runs´up the middle of the country toward New Mexico .

Our ancestors were men and women of adventure and fortune seekers ( God bless there little souls ) and they used the Ruta de Plata as a guide and went off in different directions in pursuit of thier dreams .

The state of Nuevo Leon borders around San Luis Potosi , Coahuila and Zacatecas . I´m guessing that wherever they saw mountains they went to see if they could find minerals to mine , that´s all I was saying . A lot of the fouonders of Coahuila and Nuevo Leon came from Zacatecas .

The three states are relatively close to Coahuila, Tamaulipas , San Luis Potosi and Nuveo Leon which seems to me that there is more than a possibility that some of the people from the tri states may have wondered off toward one or more of those other states .

Here´s a tid bit of information : Three brothers from Teocaltiche the Carrillos y Sandi came to Saltillo during the second half of the 17th century shortly there after came Alteno Francisco Gonzalez Hermosillo originally from Santa Maria de los Lagos .
